BRANDING
A brand is
a name, logo, slogan, and/or design scheme associated with a
product or service . Brand recognition and other reactions are
created by the use of the product or service and through the
influence of advertising , design ,
and media commentary. A brand is a symbolic embodiment
of all the information connected to the product and serves to create
associations and expectations around it. A brand often includes
a logo , fonts, color
schemes , symbols , and sound, which
may be developed to represent implicit values ,
ideas, and even personality.
Brands, "branding" and brand equity have become increasingly important components of culture and the economy , now being described as "cultural accessories and personal philosophies".
Marketers engaged in branding seek to develop or align the expectations behind the brand experience, creating the impression that a brand associated with a product or service has certain qualities or characteristics that make it special or unique. A brand image may be developed by attributing a "personality" to or associating an "image" with a product or service, whereby the personality or image is "branded" into the consciousness of consumers.
SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION (SEO)
Search engine optimization ( SEO )
is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic
to a web site from search
engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic")
search results. Usually, the earlier a site is presented
in the search results, or the higher it "ranks", the more
searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different
kinds of search, including image search , local
search , and industry-specific vertical
search engines.
BDI Media have
had a number of years designing websites and know a thing
or two about getting noticed on the web. There are a number
of processes we apply to ensure that you get noticed and
like the tip of an iceberg the web page design itself is
only a small part of the whole project.
We apply proper coding for your META TAGS and ensure your
KEYWORDS and PHRASES are all in place, and most importantly
specific to your business. We spend a good few hours analysing
your site and working on your keywords to give you the best
exposure on the internet. We work with Google features and
build specific code into your site, on completion we then
spend time submitting the site to the big "Search Engine"
players. And after all that we then monitor your performance
and make the adjustments to maximise your hits.
This site is maintained and owned by Steve Halstead from
Yorkshire. After 18 Months of uploading data into his database,
Steve was concerned that on average he was achieving 18 -
30 hits per week on the site and little or no sales coming
in from the shopping area.
He contacted BDI Media in February and discussed his concerns
with us. We met up and we got a flavour of his Company and
after initial talks we went away and came up with an action
plan. He had over 3,500 products in his database and we where
aware that he had little presence on the internet. We set
about analysing his competitors and looking at his Meta Tags,
we applied his keywords and made a number of changes to the
code. We applied Google Analytics in order for him to be
able to analyse his own hits and actually see were his visitors
were coming from and how long they stayed on his site.
We then spent time submitting his site to all major search
engines and then we sat back for the results to come in.
We made it clear to steve that we can never guarantee sales
from his site, however we can guarantee a higher volume of
traffic to his site. The results came through within two
weeks and his hits were now achieving about 35 per day. This
increased week by week.
Steve now has received more than 16,170
page views with 7.30 pages viewed on average by each visitor.
He is achieving sales and has now used the extra income to
employ a member of staff to update the database and to Market
the site to a wider audience.
IMAGERY
Imagery is
any literary reference
to the five senses (sight, touch,
smell, hearing, and taste). Essentially, imagery is any words
that create a picture in your head. Such images can be created
by using figures of speech such
as similes , metaphors , personification ,
and assonance . Imagery helps
the reader picture what is going on.
Some of our work involves going out on the road to find the
right moment or mood, captured on film and then
edited for a particular Project. Then we decide the best
way to display the image. Sometimes it comes naturally and
sometimes it takes a little longer. The moment can be
injected by simply being in the right place at the right
time, sometimes with humour and sometimes with a more meaningful
message.
